Sometimes it is the simple things that are the most difficult. A trip to the grocery store can take over an hour to get to and from town. It is a 30 min walk up to the cabin and i wasnt about to carry all those groceries. The car won’t make it up the farm road so the tractor is the next best thing!!! Look at this city girl now!!!!

I had my first ride on our tractor! It is great….who would have thought a city girl could have so much fun. Looking forward to a garden this spring and learning to can!!
Expansion ….phase1
We just added a porch off the cabin…..which will serve as an open air kitchen and living area. David worked very hard on it and it looks great. It is really amazing how far the ranch has come in 6 months. The journey through downsizing….moving into a single room cabin ….moving out into the country…..no tv or Internet….and no running water has been difficult yet incredibly liberating. I love my simple life!!!!

We have repurposed an old 3 burner cast iron grill and built a great wooden counter and shelf for prep and storage for my cast iron pots and frying pans….it is great not to have to start a fire just for a cup of coffee!!!

An amazing first weekend…..the stars were incredible….absolutely love our place. Our home needs some work….rained in and soaked or mattress. Now to figure out what we need to bring to our 144 square foot home. It is going to take some creativity and organization. I LOVE LITTLE LIVING!!!
